HIXEN Telehandler Container Loading Guide

High shipping costs can be a major headache for your equipment budget. We have a smart telehandler container loading plan that helps you save money and get your telehandler delivered safely.

Our HIXEN telehandlers are designed to be shipped efficiently in standard 20GP or 40HC containers. We use a strategic loading and disassembly plan to fit up to three units in a single container, which significantly reduces your overall freight cost per machine.

Shipping heavy machinery across the world involves a lot of details. You are probably thinking about the final price, and a big part of that is the shipping cost. Many of our customers ask us how we get our machines from our factory in China to their sites in places like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or South America without breaking the bank. It’s a great question, and the answer is all in the planning. We’ve spent over 15 years perfecting our shipping process, and we want to share how we make it work for you. Let’s dive into how we handle container loading to ensure your telehandler arrives safely and affordably.

Why Does Telehandler Container Loading Matter So Much?

Thinking that shipping is just a fixed cost you can’t control? Unexpected freight charges can quickly destroy your project’s budget. Understanding container loading is the key to managing this expense effectively.

Proper container loading directly affects your final cost. It determines whether you can use affordable container shipping instead of more expensive options and how many machines you can ship at once, which drastically cuts the freight cost for each unit.

When you buy a piece of heavy equipment like a telehandler, the machine’s price is only one part of the total cost. The cost to ship it from our factory to your port can be a significant amount. This is where smart logistics comes in. For our clients, especially those in emerging markets, every dollar saved on shipping is a dollar that can be used somewhere else. The biggest factor in shipping cost is the method used. Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) or bulk cargo ships are options, but they are often more expensive and not available at every port. Standard sea containers (20GP and 40HC) are the most cost-effective and widely available shipping method globally. By maximizing what we can fit into a container, we lower the per-unit shipping price. It’s not just about cost, either. A securely loaded container protects your investment, ensuring your new HIXEN telehandler arrives without damage, ready to work.

What Is HIXEN’s Telehandler Container Loading Plan?

You are probably wondering how many machines you can get in one shipment. Guessing about container capacity can lead to expensive mistakes and delays. We have a clear, model-specific loading plan ready for you.

Our plan shows exactly how many units of each model fit into 20GP and 40HC containers. For example, you can ship three HX2506 units in one 40HC container, or two HX3510 units, making your shipment highly efficient.

Over the years, we’ve shipped over 1,500 machines to more than 30 countries. This experience has helped us create a very precise loading system. We know exactly how to position and secure each machine to maximize space and ensure safety. Our goal is to give you the most value out of every single shipment. Here is a breakdown of our standard loading plans.

Small Models: Maximum Container Efficiency

Our smaller models like the HX2506 are perfect for export. You can fit one unit in a 20GP container or an amazing three units in a 40HC container. The only thing we need to remove is the pallet forks. This makes shipping very cheap per unit and is ideal for dealers building up inventory or customers needing multiple compact machines.

Medium Models: The 40HC Advantage

For our popular mid-range models like the HX3007, HX3507, and HX3510, the 40HC container is the best choice. While you can fit one unit into a 20GP with some disassembly, a 40HC container can hold two units with little or no disassembly required. This saves time and labor on both ends of the shipment.

Large Models: Flexible Shipping Options

For our largest telehandlers, like the HX6018, we can fit one unit into a 40HC container. This requires more significant disassembly, including the cab, tires, and axles. For customers who want to avoid this work, we can also arrange shipping on a bulk cargo or Ro-Ro ship. We will help you compare the costs to see which option is best for you.

What Needs to Be Disassembled Before Shipping?

Are you worried about taking a new machine apart to ship it? You might wonder if you can put it back together correctly. We make disassembly simple and provide clear instructions to help you.

Disassembly is minimal and strategic. For most of our models shipping in a 40HC container, no disassembly is needed. When it is, we only remove simple parts like pallet forks, tires, or cab guards, which are all designed for easy reassembly.

When we say “disassembly,” we are not talking about taking the engine apart. The process is straightforward and designed with you in mind. We understand that your machine needs to be up and running as soon as possible after it arrives. That’s why any part we remove is easy to put back on. This process does not affect your machine’s performance or warranty in any way. We have trained technicians who perform this work carefully every day. We secure every bolt and part for the journey. For reassembly, we provide detailed instruction manuals, photos, and even video support to guide you or your local technician. The most common parts we remove are simple ones. Pallet forks and quick hitches are attachments that are designed to be changed quickly during normal operation. For some models, we remove tires or cab guards to meet container height limits. On our very largest models, the cab itself may be removed for container shipping, but this is a process we have documented thoroughly to make reassembly as simple as possible.

How Does HIXEN Help Customers Reduce Freight Costs?

Everyone knows international shipping is expensive. You worry that hidden fees and high rates will inflate your budget. We actively work with you to find the most affordable shipping solution.

We help you save money by optimizing container loading to ship more units at once. We also give you clear advice on choosing between 20GP, 40HC, and Ro-Ro shipping to find the best balance of cost, speed, and convenience for your order.

As a factory-direct manufacturer, we see ourselves as your partner, not just a supplier. Our job is to help you get the equipment you need in the smartest way possible. One of the best ways we help you save is by explaining your shipping options. For example, a 40HC container provides more than double the space of a 20GP container, but it does not cost double the price. Shipping two HX3507 telehandlers in one 40HC is much cheaper per unit than shipping them one by one in two separate 20GP containers. We always run this calculation for you. We also help you compare container shipping against Ro-Ro shipping. Container shipping often has a lower freight rate, but you must consider the labor cost for reassembly. Ro-Ro is simpler—just drive the machine on and off the ship—but the freight rate can be higher and the service isn’t available everywhere. We lay out all the costs so you can make an informed decision that works for your budget and your business.

How Can You Get a Customized Telehandler Loading Plan?

We know that every order is unique. You need a shipping plan that is tailored to your specific purchase. Just contact our team, and we will create a custom loading plan just for you.

Simply tell our sales team which telehandler models you need and your destination port. We will create a detailed, customized loading plan with a full cost breakdown to ensure there are no surprises for you.

Getting a plan that fits your exact needs is simple. It starts with a conversation. First, you tell one of our sales experts what you need. For instance, you might say, “I’m a contractor in the Philippines, and I need one HX4014 and two HX2506 models.” Once we have your request, our logistics team gets to work. With over 15 years of experience, they know how to find the most efficient shipping combination. They will figure out if it’s better to put everything in one large container or use a combination of containers to get the best price. Then, we send you a clear proposal. It will not just be a quote; it will be a complete plan. It might say, “We recommend one 40HC container. It will contain your HX4014 and both HX2506 units. This is your most cost-effective option.” We also provide a packing list, photos of the actual loading process, and all the documents you need for a smooth customs clearance. We are with you every step of the way.
